Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol grounds, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist visitors with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances and key areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report security-related concerns through appropriate communication and documentation channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical response coordination and/or contacting local public services when appropriate.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and patrol activity, and support other site operations such as providing directions and assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow during services and events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
