Position Summary

The IT Manager, Service Desk at the Tisch School of the Arts (TSOA) plays a key role in overseeing the daily operations and performance of the IT Service Desk, ensuring that inquiries and issues from faculty and staff are resolved promptly and professionally, following established procedures and standards. Develop collaboration and partnerships among Tisch departments, Tisch IT, and NYU IT. Assists the TSOA IT Leadership in service delivery and operational excellence across IT services, including user support in infrastructure, systems, and endpoints.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology

Required Experience:
5+ years experience in providing supervision and customer support in a customer-facing technology IT environment

Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience providing technology support in higher education, including knowledge of specialized software, systems or technologies.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, supervisory, interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills. Thorough understanding of Windows and Mac OS. Hands-on experience with at least one of the following programming languages - Bash script and PowerShell. Knowledge of Active Directory, OSI network model, and information security best practices. Expertise in computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting & technical documentation.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Computer hardware and software troubleshooting and understanding. Project management skills. Prioritization and ability to lead and delegate. Expertise in audio/video systems and classroom technologies.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
