Overview

Seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer (FSE) within a Keysight Technologies organization that is dedicated to innovation and contribution, where trust, respect, teamwork, and uncompromising integrity are the ingredients for individual and company success.

As a member of Keysight's High Uptime & Solutions Services (HUSSS) Field Service Team, you will work on test instruments and solutions used in a wide variety of applications and industries. You would provide expert onsite repair and calibration services at customer locations, enabling minimum downtime of Keysight Network Analyzers, PNA Antenna Measurement Solutions, Bit Error Rate Testers, Semiconductor Test Products, Automotive Radar Scene Emulation Systems, etc. Example product families include the 8510, PNA, 82150A ParBERT, 8719 VNA systems, B1500/B2200 systems, among others.

Responsibilities

You will have the responsibility of supporting our customers through the maintenance, calibration, and repair of their Keysight equipment listed above. You will be called upon to provide onsite service work, as well as remote support and troubleshooting via phone. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules with assigned customers on customer site, and proactively install Service Notes
  • Ensure on-time calibrations, performed on customer site
  • Assist the Support Sales Team as needed, and proactively look for new support business leads
  • Perform repairs of customer Keysight equipment in timely, thorough, and professional manner
  • As a primary interface to the customer, work with cross functional teams to address difficult repair situations, helping to return customer systems to fully functional status in the shortest time possible
  • Determine and develop approaches to the varied assignments associated with this position
  • Lead field services and support projects requiring coordination with other functions and customers
  • Solve a broad range of system problems of varying scope and complexity, involving hardware, software, networking, and operating system
  • Utilize Keysight Technologies' service admin systems for accurate and timely recording of service activities, triggering Keysight's escalation process and maintaining Keysight's assets required to perform the job

Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience. To qualify for this position the following requirements are sought:

  • 2+ years supporting Test and Measurement systems
  • RF/ Microwave repair and calibration to 110 GHz is preferred
  • Network Analyzer system knowledge desired
  • Must have Valid driver's license and good driving record, and able/willing to travel via car and air
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Must have ability and desire to learn system/application software
  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Excellent working knowledge of the PC Windows Operating Systems and basic networking
  • Prior Customer Interfacing Experience with proven success of facilitating customer satisfaction
  • Prior Electromechanical Aptitude and Skills
  • Prior experience maintaining Agilent/Keysight measurement systems

Must Have:

  • Self-directed with minimum supervision, able to make decisions that favorably effect customer uptime
  • Excellent communication and clearly demonstrated organization skills
  • Ability to work in high-stress, mission-critical situations - your performance impacts customer results
  • Flexible working hours per customer commitments with ability to travel on short notice
  • Ability to work afterhours/overtime as the customer situation dictates
  • Ability to effectively use DMM, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Counters, etc. for troubleshooting
  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner, manage company assets and spare parts effectively
  • Possess additional experience in one or more of the following areas: antenna test, RF/Microwave measurements, digital test (Parallel/Serial BERT), Battery Test / Charging Systems, Automotive Radar.
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic a plus

Pay Range:

USD $84,060.00 - USD $140,100.00 Year

Note:For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
