Geosyntec Consultants has an immediately available job opening for a Contract Administrator to work in a full-time, onsite role at the West Valley Cleanup Alliance, LLC. West Valley Cleanup Alliance is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1B Deactivation & Demolition Contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project site. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York.

As a Geosyntec employee working in this role you will monitor all activities related to meeting objectives on assigned contracts, act as a liaison between different departments, and ensure clarity and compliance with contract terms. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining the conformed Prime Contract and Prime Contract Status Logs, assisting site personnel with interpretation of Prime Contract requirements, and Contract Deliverable reviews and Contract communications with Department of Energy Contracting Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established safe work practices and procedures; including following all safety rules, use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE), investigating and reporting identified safety concerns or situations.
  • Adhere to standards contained in the Company "Code of Conduct," Company EEO practices, and DOE directives.
  • Assist in management of prime contract at the West Valley Demonstration Project.
  • Perform general contract administration using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) principles.
  • Participate in prime contract modification processes.
  • Track and maintain agreements, contract milestones, deadlines, and renewals.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence related to agreements.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contracted obligations from contracting parties.
  • Ensure all training and qualifications are up to date, attend educational workshops, and participate in professional societies.
  • Interpret and follow a wide variety of guidelines, policies, laws, and established practices to accomplish complex tasks.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment in performing work and recommend improvements to operations and/or processes.
  • Identify and resolve a wide variety of complex assignments.
  • Use independent judgement to provide solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
  • Manage projects and special assignments to deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Manage priorities, work schedules, control costs, and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange information, resolve problems and coordinate tasks effectively through written or verbal communication.
  • Interface with individuals or groups from inside and outside of the organization.
  • Justify, defend, negotiate, or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues in accordance with CHBWV practices.


Education and Licensure

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Engineering, or Management. (required)
  • Minimum of four (4) years related progressive experience. (required)
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience directly related may be considered.
  • Certification by the National Contract Management Association. (preferred)
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

Minimum Salary: $92,703/year / Maximum Salary: $113,269/year
