As part of our Architecture practice at HDR, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of spaces and experiences that advance community well-being around the world. In the role of Landscape Architect, we'll count on you to:
- Develop site designs through contract document phases of projects
- Conduct site analysis to include building operation, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, site grading, storm drainage design and site amenities
- Meet with client representatives as needed
- Participate in reviews with various utilities and governing agencies for code compliance
- Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project sites
- Coordinate workload to ensure deadlines are met, reviewing documents for all areas of conflict with all disciplines, writing and editing site design specifications, selecting landscape and paving materials, and preparing drawings as required
- Provide contract administration as needed
- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
- Currently licensed as a Landscape Architect in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and/or Virginia
- Minimum 8 years of professional work experience in the field of landscape architecture
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, advanced 3D modeling, computational design and rendering with programs such as Grasshopper, Lumion, Enscape
- Understanding of technical aspects of landscape architecture and associated terminology including construction materials and processes, grading and drainage, plant materials and planting design
- Knowledge of the range of typical design activities, including site analysis, master planning, site planning, conceptual development, and construction documentation preparation and project implementation
- Strong design sensibility: creativity and curiosity, clear visual communication, strong design rigor including iterative concept exploration through multiple platforms
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Professional registration
- Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Photoshop
- Able to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
