Leidos' Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility (CMF) is seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager to join our team supporting a stand-alone manufacturing facility performing work on a hypersonic weapon system.

Primary Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Program Manager will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nations war fighters. This role will serve as the primary project manager for manufacturing activities at CMF in support of one primary program U.S. Army's Indirect Fire Protection Capability and other smaller programs as assigned. They will work closely with the CMF site leadership to ensure cost and schedule performance on each program. Additionally, this role will work closely with the program team in Huntsville, AL and serve as the primary source of communication between the two teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for the manufacturing content on each program.
  • Coordinate manufacturing-related budgets/costs with Program finance and Manufacturing finance to ensure successful execution and appropriate capacity planning.
  • Work with site leadership to ensure manufacturing schedules meet program needs.
  • Support weekly status calls presenting to both and external internal stake holders.
  • Lead/develop elements of the manufacturing plan, as required.
  • Application of EVMS and reporting on KPIs.

Basic Qualifications

.

  • Bachelor's in a technical or business discipline with 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing project management or program management and an in-depth understanding of cost and schedule management techniques for such projects.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cost Account Manager on a complex hardware production program.
  • Experience coordinating and organizing activities between a Program organization and an executing organization such as manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying EVMS and reporting on complex projects using earned value KPIs.
  • Experience creating and providing recurring briefings to leadership stakeholders on program/product status.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Program/Project Management experience. PMP/PMI Certification a plus.
  • Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering training and applicable experience.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience with AS9100 and DCMA standards.
  • Experience conducting Manufacturing Risk and Readiness Assessments.
  • Familiarity with the DoD Manufacturing Readiness Levels.
  • Experience with Costpoint MRP.
  • Experience with CNC machining operations
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Manufacturing.
  • Experience planning hardware product realization efforts.
  • Familiarity with AS6500 manufacturing management program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerBI, advanced Excel usage, SQL queries, and advanced data reporting/management
