What does a DSD Planning Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The DSD Planning Manager is accountable for the execution and optimization of the strategic and tactical planning functions for the company, in alignment with organizational strategy. Responsible for delivering positive business results through both strategy and tactical planning and collaboration with numerous functions including Business Process, IT, other Bottlers, and NAOU entities. The Manager advances the core capabilities of the planning function and develops high performing teams by using technology and input from field operation teams to think critically, perform deep analysis and provide recommendations for improvements in operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead route planning teams responsible for distribution, sales planning in long-term strategic planning.
  • Partners and collaborates with operations teams and other entities to drive continuous improvement to maximize productivity, minimize operating costs and ensure consistent execution of tactical and strategic plans with joint accountability in delivering business results enabling them to meet customer needs.
  • Responsible for effective internal and external change management throughout project implementation and strategy change to meet the evolving needs of our customers and our organization.
  • Accountable for enabling the teams to analyze and interpret data and clearly communicate findings to cross-functional partners that support organizational goals.
  • Responsible for the development of direct reports and successors, sharing subject matter expertise, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of the Dispatch Planning Team.
  • Able to effectively communicate through various channels and respond to questions from all levels of the organization. Translates complex ideas into clear messages that influence decisions at a leadership level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree College degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, Logistics or Operations. required and
  • 2+ years of combined experience in Planning, Sales, and/or Supply Chain required or
  • 6+ years progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required required
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with mathematical concepts and technology including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP preferred.
  • Working knowledge of LEO, VendSmart, Samsara, and Forms.com.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication/ presentation skills with timely follow-up.
  • Project management skills are a plus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Building collaborative relationships
