CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Indiana Roadway Team Leader to join our Highway & Rail Team in Indianapolis, IN. In this influential role, you will drive technical quality across major transportation projects, mentor emerging engineers, and contribute to the evolution of safe, efficient, and future ready highway and rail systems.



What You'll Do:

    Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to highway, roadway, and rail infrastructure projects-from initial assessment through planning and design
  • Collaborate with Highway & Rail team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals
  • Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical transportation initiatives
  • Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience required; previous project or team management experience preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices and demonstrated technical proficiency
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • Experience with project budgeting preferred; basic understanding of accounting processes
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$125,000 - $145,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
