The successful applicant will provide Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E) flight test engineering for ground and flight test efforts for US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) fixed wingaircraftand programs. Responsibilities: Provide flight test engineeringexpertiseforUSSOCOMfixed wing,Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS),small UAS (sUAS), andweapon system developmentprograms. Act as TestConductorforprograms involving Group2-5UASand their associated networks Supportandparticipatein flight test planning, test execution, data management, data collection,and data distribution Develop and review testobjectives,testplans,flight test cards,and other required documentation Coordinate and provide requirements for test venues, testassetsand participants across the DOD Coordinate analysis activities with data analysts Apply technicalexpertiseto assess test range, weapon system,or technology project readiness for testing and advise seniortestpersonnel on test readiness Prepare mission execution schedules,logisticscoordination,and track status and risk Interface with other government and range organizations and development contractors Assistin directing test operation efforts across test and operationalcommunities to meet programmatic timelines and overcome resource and schedule challenges, as needed Facilitate the safety andaircraftmodification coordination process Aid in operations and maintenance support planning with contract maintenance teams Required Qualifications: Bachelorof Science degree in engineering or science Ability to obtainandmaintainFAA Class 3 flight physical Proficiencywith Microsoft Office products Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently Excellent written and oral communication skills 3+ yearsintest and evaluation, aerospace duties, and/or related technical work Understandingofandsignificant experiencewithsmall UAS (sUAS)systems,command and control links,networks,and/or associateddata links Experience with Group2-3 sUAS testing on DoD test ranges Working knowledge of Air ForceUAS test and evaluationpolicies Ability tooperatein Ground Control Stations (GCS)and/or Control Rooms Active Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: Master of Sciencedegree in engineering or science Autonomous system test experience highly desired Experience usingArtificial Intelligenceas a tool or in testinghighly desired Previousor active qualification/currency for Group 2-5 UAS operations highly desired Test Pilot School Graduate Experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) Experience testing at variousDoDtest ranges Active Top-Secret clearancewith SCI eligibility #LI-BH1 #MTSI #MTSIJobs Interesting Work: Our co-workers support some of the most important and critical programs to our national defense and security.
