Job Overview
The Task Order Manager is responsible for the overall contract development and maintaining positive working relationships with government officials regarding main contract and various delivery orders. The Task Order Manager is also responsible for working directly with Project Manager to successfully complete projects. Pay Rate: $80K - $90K 6-12 month Temporary Assignment Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Oversee the scheduling, staffing, supply, personnel management, reporting, tracking, and overall daily management of a large staff of inspectors, custodians and admin.
- Support and manage the cleaning and sanitizing of rest room facilities and related fixtures including drinking fountains: refrigerated water coolers, custodial mop sinks, rest room sinks, urinals, and toilets: replenish supplies in restrooms.
- Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
- Review all site work to verify compliance in accordance with the contract, applicable plans and procedures, safety policies and overall company performance standards.
- Confer with and advise other management personnel regarding projects and priorities.
- Maintain adequate levels of tools, equipment, and other supplies.
- Plan and organize work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Maintain accurate records of all mishaps related to all work performed.
- Inspect and diagnose problems to determine corrective actions/repairs.
- Inspect work in progress and finished work for discrepancies in accordance with the Quality
- Control Plan and applicable Safety Plans, within contract requirements.
- Complete necessary inspection reports and documentation required to support findings.
- Assist in maintenance and generation of quality inspection reports as outlined in the quality control plan for monthly reporting.
- Lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable in alignment with organizational values, policies, and performance expectations.
- Actively listens to employee concerns and responds appropriately without bias; maintains confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Maintain professionalism during difficult conversations or when delivering corrective action; builds trust and credibility through consistency, fairness, and respect.
- Identify and address workplace conflicts promptly, objectively, and in accordance with company policy and CBA guidelines.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions.
- Keep Project Manager apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
- Identify and report custodial maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
- As directed, perform a variety of procurement duties requiring an understanding of the government supply system, programs, policies, work methods, or other established guidelines.
- Assists in developing cost estimates, correspondence, and status reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Accountable For:
- Timely, cost-effective performance of duties.
- Timely completion and accuracy of all work.
- Adherence to contract requirements and CSEL policies.
- Working closely and harmoniously with fellow workers.
- Adherence to all safety and health rules and regulations.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- At least four years of experience in custodial services with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
- At least two years' experience managing a Union workforce, including understanding progressive discipline and documentation requirements.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including but not limited to: Word and Excel.
- Mature judgment and ability to work with little or no supervision.
- High school graduate or 'equivalent".
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal residency alien.
- Valid state driver's license with Acceptable driving record (must provide current driving record).
- Must be able to pass background investigation.
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.Work hours are subject to change, with overtime, weekend, and/or holiday work as needed. Subject to hazards that may cause personal bodily harm; diseases, cuts, bruises, burns, common colds, influenza, dust odors and elevated noise levels. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces. While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision.
