Intern Healthcare Consulting Summer 2026 | Dallas

As an intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain valuable experience that may help you decide whether you want to start your career in audit or tax, or even whether public accounting is right for you. You will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and testing out your technical know-how. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset. Generally, spring semester internships run from mid-January through April 15th, and summer internships can typically run from June through mid-August.

Qualifications:

* Solid technical accounting knowledge

* Effective time management

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Strong computer skills strongly preferred, including Microsoft Office suite and SQL

* Ability to manipulate and manage large dataset

* Ability to work well with a team as well as independently

* Problem-solving attitude

* Willingness to take initiative

* Close attention to detail

* Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines.

* Accounting degree and CPA exam eligibility preferred

* Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall) preferred.

Responsibilities include:

* Preparation of Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and related engagements.

* Manage multiple consulting engagements to deliver unmatched client service.

* Support existing client project teams with analytical and reporting needs.

* Develop and maintain productive working relationships with engagement team members and client personnel at all levels.

* Work with clients and other FORVIS team members to define and recommend solutions.

* Assist on other healthcare assurance or consulting engagements as needed
