The Tesla Payments Team is revolutionizing how customers pay for our products and services while streamlining internal financial operations. We work cross-functionally with global product and business teams to develop scalable, innovative payment solutions that enhance efficiency and customer experience. As a fast-paced, impact-driven team, we seek a highly motivated Product Manager to lead key initiatives in this space.


What You'll Do
  • Lead the development and launch of innovative payment solutions tailored to Tesla's dynamic business needs, with a focus on customer payments. This includes integrating new payment methods, designing optimized payment flows, and expanding into emerging markets
  • Optimize payment processes by partnering with external providers, card networks, and financial institutions to minimize costs, enhance transaction speed, and improve overall efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with global product, business, engineering, and UX teams to innovate and customize payment experiences that align with strategic goals and user needs
  • Drive the creation of scalable, future-proof payment architectures, ensuring seamless integration with Tesla's ecosystem
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate customer satisfaction, operational performance, and business outcomes, using data insights to inform iterative improvements

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Extensive expertise in global payment systems, including processor integrations, card networks, treasury operations, and financial platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of the payments industry, encompassing regulations, compliance standards, and emerging trends like digital wallets and blockchain
  • An AI-first mindset, approaching every initiative with innovative AI perspectives to enhance automation, personalization, and efficiency
  • Proven experience collaborating with full-stack engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable technical solutions and agility in managing multiple projects and adapting to shifting priorities in a high-velocity setting
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, bridging technical and non-technical audiences effectively
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action, demonstrated by successfully launching initiatives in resource-constrained environments and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making

    Expected Compensation
    $136,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
