Your main responsibilities
- Work from manufacturing information, material lists, requisitions, written and/or oral instructions.
- Assist in receiving incoming materials, count and weigh as required.
- Check delivery against bill and lading and checking contents against packing slip.
- Obtain signatures and note short and damaged goods.
- Issue materials as required from stores or other designated areas to manufacturing locations.
- Assist in preparing materials for shipment.
- Load, unload, move, stack, assist and band materials to pallet or put materials in crates or cartons as required.
- Complete and maintain all necessary records and reports associated with receiving, stores, issuing and shipping as directed.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Perform other duties, as instructed, necessitated by change or condition.
- Observe all company rules and safety practices.
- Keep work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Provide suggestions and ideas towards the continuous improvement of our operation
- Use equipment such as fork truck, overhead crane, pallets, slings, storage bins, racks, banding equipment, marking devices, electronic scales, jockey truck, computers, side loader, swing reach, reach truck, etc.
