The AES CE Operations team is hiring a Portfolio Analytics Analyst with a passion for the renewable or energy field. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to analyze and organize information, develop capabilities, and improve processes. Responsibilities will include fleet reporting, database management, fleet regulatory compliance oversight, and automation workstream ownership.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage data coordination with our finance, accounting, and performance software

  • Collaborate with various teams to identify, build out, and facilitate reporting tools and efficiency focused solutions to support the financial asset management of the operating fleet

  • Oversee fleet regulatory reporting inclusive of FERC and other consolidated fleet reporting

  • Assist in team automation workstreams and lead efforts where applicable to increase the automation across our processes

  • Asset Management data integrity management inclusive of entry, validation, and maintenance of AES applications/tools

  • Manage databases to templates for monthly, quarterly, and annual operational, revenue and cost metric reporting associated with the operational fleet

  • Support implementation and application of new softwares, tools, and systems

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Experience utilizing CRM, PMP, BI and ERP systems, accurately producing metrics and dashboards

  • Thorough experience working in SAP a strong plus

  • Python or other program language experience/competency

  • Demonstrated ability to read basic financial statements and project documents.

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office tools and cloud-based document management systems

  • Able to organize and prioritize work, exercise creative thinking skills, independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas

  • Exceptional organizational, decision making/problem solving, analytical and time management skills

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with strong communication skills

  • Passion for renewable energy industry and the ability to stay current with changing technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy

Education:

  • BA/BS degree required

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience

  • Degree concentration in business, finance, accounting, economics, environmental studies, and/or other quantitative fields preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Based in Louisville, CO

  • Travel will be required between offices and some travel to sites - approximately 10%

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
