Meet the Team
You'll join Cisco's Connected Engineering & Transformation Office Integration Team agile, an innovative group enabling Sales, Marketing, Support, and Partner teams. We design, deliver, and maintain integration solutions that power automation, data flow, and business intelligence across Salesforce CRM and the Cisco technology landscape.

Your Impact
As a Software Integration Engineer, you will be at the center of our digital ecosystem-designing, building, and operating resilient APIs and integrations that power detailed experiences across platforms, partners, and customers. You'll harness MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, AWS services, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Splunk, and UI frameworks to deliver secure, scalable, and observable integrations. Your expertise will shape system design and ensure our integration ecosystem supports both transactional and data-driven workloads.

Key Responsibilities:
* Integration Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise integrations on MuleSoft CloudHub 2.0, connecting Salesforce, commerce platforms, on-premises applications, databases, and modern user interfaces.
* API & Data Engineering: Build API-led integrations, ETL/data pipelines, and real-time streaming flows across hybrid environments; integrate AI/ML workloads and ensure efficient data movement between systems.
* Platform & Database Integration: Configure and run CloudHub 2.0 features (Private Spaces, TLS domains, load balancers, Flex Gateway), and integrate with AWS (S3, OpenSearch, Lambda, PostgreSQL), MongoDB Atlas, and relational/NoSQL databases.
* Security, Monitoring & Observability: Implement authentication/authorization (Okta, DUO), implement API policies, and use tools like Splunk and custom dashboards for flow monitoring, fix, and recovery.
* Partnership & Best Practices: Partner with architects, developers, and business collaborators to translate requirements into robust solutions; conduct code reviews, share knowledge, and apply integration protocols and UI frameworks.
* Agile Delivery: Participate in Scrum ceremonies, progress in Jira, and chip in to continuous improvement.
* Innovation: Stay ahead of MuleSoft and integration trends, adopting new tools, frameworks, and patterns to improve the ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications
* Education and Core Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or 5+ years of experience in software design, development, and delivery for web or cloud-based enterprise applications.
* Technical Expertise could be on any of these:
Front-End: Strong skills in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue), TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI/UX design.
Back-End: Expertise in server-side languages (Java, Python, Node.js, or C#), API development (REST/GraphQL), database design (SQL/NoSQL), and scalable microservices architecture.
MuleSoft: Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions using MuleSoft tools (API Manager, Design Center, Runtime Manager, Flex Gateway) and proficiency in DataWeave for data transformation, REST/SOAP Webservices.

* Integration & Cloud Proficiency: Validated experience integrating with third-party systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), authentication (OAuth, JWT), and event-driven architectures.

* DevOps & Engineering Excellence: Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, automated testing, code reviews, and SDLC practices. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools is a plus.

* Agile Mentality & Communication: Experience working in Agile, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent English communication skills to collaborate optimally in global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

* Salesforce & Cloud Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer/Administrator certifications, MuleSoft Developer/Architect, or equivalent cloud credentials (AWS, Azure, GCP). Shown interest in expanding Salesforce or cloud expertise.

* Technical Leadership: Shown leadership in technical design, code quality, and architectural decisions on multi-functional projects.

* Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Proven record to fix integration issues, propose enhancements, and leverage analytics or AI to improve system efficiency and data reliability.

* Emerging Tech Skills: Interest in AI/ML, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, or low-code/no-code platforms.

* Continuous Learning & Innovation: Passion for ongoing professional development through certifications, experimentation, or community engagement. Eagerness to explore and apply new technologies.

* Collaboration, Communication & Documentation: Collaboration skills for working across technical and business teams, with strong communication and documentation habits to ensure clarity and effective knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada: The starting salary range posted for this position is $126,500.00 to $182,000.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco's plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

  • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

  • 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

  • Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)

  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours ofunused sick timecarried forwardfrom one calendar yearto the next

  • Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members

  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer

For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

  • .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

  • 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

  • 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and

  • Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:

New York City Metro Area:

$152,500.00 - $252,000.00

Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:

$135,800.00 - $224,400.00

* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
