Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor, you will perform a full range of supervisory duties to include assigning, directing and monitoring work, establishing unit goals and objectives, and evaluating performance on an ongoing basis. It will be essential for you to ensure program eligibility and the quality of case services through the review and analysis of case records and case conferences with Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and support staff. You can expect to conduct in-service training sessions and staff conferences to maintain VR Counselors and support staff awareness of changing concepts and new policies or procedures. You will have the opportunity to participate in public relations activities by making oral, written and visual presentations about VR services to community groups, referral agencies, employers, business leaders, public and private organizations and associations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Williamsport. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor; Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Deaf and Hard of Hearing; Vision Rehabilitation Therapist; or Orientation and Mobility Specialist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Social Worker 2(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) in the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation; or
• Two years of professional experience in a public vocational rehabilitation program; AND a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation, mental health, special education, social work, human services, psychology, business administration, human resources, public administration, or a closely related field; or
• Two years of professional experience in a public vocational rehabilitation program; AND possession of an active Certified Rehabilitation Counselor certificate issued by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
