Overview

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring total customer satisfaction within the Werfen installed base. Responsible for achieving installed base management and incremental sales goals for Werfen products within assigned geographic area. Direct management responsibility for Clinical Applications Consultants (CAC) who perform installations, validations/verifications and training on Werfen analyzers. Manages on-going clinical support, customer education and consults with customers regarding matters of regulatory requirements and compliance. Conducts activities as directed by Management.

Business & Strategic Impact

  • Own the clinical performance, retention, and growth of the installed base within the assigned geography.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Sales and Marketing, aligning clinical execution with commercial objectives.
  • Translate business goals into clear field priorities that drive customer value, adoption, and revenue expansion.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the territory and proactively inform and influence strategy.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Clinical Applications Consultants and Specialists.
  • Build a highperformance culture focused on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach team members on consultative, valuedriven customer engagement-not just technical execution.
  • Serve as a talent multiplier by developing future leaders through structured coaching and realtime feedback.

Coaching & Execution Excellence

  • Expand the team mindset to include "clinical consultation and influence", along with "task execution"
  • Conduct regular field coaching, ridealongs, and development conversations tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure new hires and existing team members achieve and maintain strong clinical competency and confidence.
  • Set clear expectations, track impact, and coursecorrect quickly when performance or engagement gaps appear.

Customer & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Act as the senior clinical escalation point for key accounts and complex situations.
  • Build trusted, longterm relationships with customers, positioning the company as a partner rather than a vendor.
  • Ensure consistent, highquality clinical education and support that aligns with regulatory and quality standards.

Operational & Financial Stewardship

  • Manage territory resources and expenses responsibly to maximize return on investment.
  • Provide insights, forecasts, and performance updates to leadership with clear narrative and data.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and internal policies and standards.

Budget Managed (if applicable)

Qualifications

Min Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • Bachelor's degree (medical technology preferred, respiratory therapy, nursing or related scientific discipline) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience (clinical preferred).
  • Proven technical proficiency and knowledge.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Project management skills/experience desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at varying levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Collaboration, capable of executing in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • 75% of time
