Job Summary

The Part-Time Business Analytics Intern supports data-driven decision making through project-based analytical work. This role is designed for a college student pursuing a degree in Business Analytics or a related field and serves as a development opportunity with potential for full-time consideration after graduation.


The position is 100% remote and self-paced, with a flexible schedule designed to accommodate academic commitments. The focus of the role is on developing insights and identifying patterns from real business data, not routine reporting or administrative tasks.

Primary Duties

Data Analysis and Insights



  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers


  • Develop insights that support business decisions across sales, marketing, operations, or pricing


  • Translate analytical findings into clear, concise summaries and recommendations


Project-Based Work



  • Execute clearly scoped, outcome-driven analytical projects in a remote environment


  • Apply analytical methods to real business questions


  • Manage assigned projects independently and meet agreed-upon timelines


Data Preparation and Visualization



  • Clean, structure, and validate data for analysis


  • Create visualizations, dashboards, or analytical summaries to communicate findings


  • Document methodologies, assumptions, and limitations


Collaboration and Communication



  • Collaborate remotely with stakeholders to clarify objectives and context


  • Present findings via written summaries, decks, or virtual meetings


  • Incorporate feedback and iterate on analyses

Qualifications

Required Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field


  • Strong interest in applying analytics to real business problems


  • Foundational knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and business metrics


  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed, remote environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets


  • Coursework or project experience involving data modeling, forecasting, or trend analysis


  • Clear written communication skills suitable for remote collaboration

The US base rate for this full-time position is 18.00. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
