DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Food Service Worker, you will work as part of a dedicated team to prepare and serve high-quality meals while following strict food safety and sanitation standards. Your daily tasks will include washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients; plating food; and assembling trays according to specific dietary needs. You will demonstrate strong attention to detail by checking food temperatures, setting up serving lines, and transporting food carts. By operating the dish machine and maintaining a spotless kitchen, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, organized environment for our residents and your coworkers.

- Full-time employment (10 hours per day; 40 hours per week)
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (1st Shift), with a 30-minute lunch. This role operates on a rotating schedule every 2 weeks as follows:
- Week 1: Working Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday
- Week 2: Working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualification (not required):
- Food service worker experience
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
