Position Summary The NYU Entrepreneurial Institute's Assistant Director of Research Commercialization leads programs and initiatives designed to accelerate the commercialization of deep technology and research from across the university. This position works closely with the Executive Director and the Venture Associate to develop and manage a robust pipeline of faculty, researchers, PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows. The Assistant Director will be primarily responsible for sourcing teams for coaching and participation in the Institute's Tech Venture Program (TVP) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps program. A key aspect of this role is building a vibrant community around research commercialization at NYU. This includes developing, leading, and executing new programs and initiatives to grow NYU's capacity in this area, as well as celebrating successes through events like the Tech Venture Summit to raise the visibility of and engagement in entrepreneurship within NYU's research community. This role involves actively coaching deep tech teams and serving as a principal liaison to the NY I-Corps Hub, external partners in the deep-tech ecosystem, and key university stakeholders, such as research deans and department chairs. Qualifications Required Education: Doctoral Degree In a STEM field (e.g., life sciences, biomedical engineering, physical sciences, computer science, or related fields). Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $130,000.00 to USD $150,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
