GENERAL FUNCTION

As a Development & Production Manager, you will lead product creation from line start through commercialization to Bulk PO placement. You'll be a trusted member of our team reporting in to the Development & Production Director. You will work with the entire Product Development & Production team as well as cross functionally liaise with design, merchandising, logistics, marketing, sales, brand and business teams to execute on designated product category(s).

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manage all seasonal line developments within respective category(s) from line start to commercialization and on-time buy and proactively problem solve in a timely manner.
  • Handle pre-costing and seasonal cost analysis and problem solving across product category(s).
  • Manage and track deadline adherence to all seasonal development and commercialization milestones.
  • Drive seamless and timely transition between product development and production stage such that all styles are produced according to approved pre-production sample.
  • Launch new styles with suppliers and handle day to day factory communication inclusive of all development comments, price negotiation, problem solving, and supply planning.
  • Generate seasonal time & action with suppliers. Initiate and follow through on schedule from Strike offs/Protos/Sales Samples/Production.
  • Send all lab dips, strike off, bulk approval & TOPS comments to the factories and maintain information in production WIPS.
  • Establish and maintain detailed WIP for all factories ensuring timely development and production and strong working relationships with factory partners.
  • Plan and calculate any raw material requirements for both development and bulk production working with Raw Materials Logistics team for timely delivery.
  • Work closely with Design, Development, Merchandising and counterparts to ensure all teams are aligned and updated on product status and deliveries.
  • Work with Product Testing and Compliance Team to ensure all properly tested for all distribution territories.
  • Present samples within the weekly design reviews properly preparing all needed information inclusive of pricing and delivery.
  • Understand supply chain planning and product capacity planning process and work cross-functionally to manage seasonal product category(s).
  • Oversee, develop, maintain, and build new, strong relationships with partners & factories.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Special Projects to create calendars, maintain adherence to milestones, coordinate sample organization for internal reviews and external approvals, and assist in the creation and upkeep of the comprehensive WIP files, to capture vital details including styles, royalties, wholesale/ retail orders, special labeling needs, compliance, and testing requirements.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5+ years of professional experience in Apparel Product Development & Production
  • Excellent organizational, managerial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Mac Mail/Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to process high volumes of work including prioritization of tasks in a timely manner.
  • Strong work ethic, focus, and attention to detail
  • Comprehensive assessment of the brand

Pay Range:96,672.80-145,879.20
