Job Description

We've been waiting for you! We are looking for talented college students to join our focused, flexible, and fun 12-week internship program. An internship at AFB International provides real-world and hands-on experience in areas that interest you while collaborating with industry experts to solve real-world challenges!

The Human Resources Intern supports the HR team in daily operations, gaining handson experience across core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and compliance. You will speak further with the Hiring Manager about specific projects you will complete during your summer. The below information gives an overview of general responsibilities & learnings you will have an opportunity to support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities: posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support onboarding processes: preparing newhire materials, helping with orientation sessions, and ensuring smooth integration for new employees.
  • Maintain employee records: updating HR databases, organizing files, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Help coordinate HR programs: employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and wellness activities.
  • Provide general administrative support: scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and supporting HR team projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Rising Junior or Seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Workday or other Applicant Tracking Systems is a plus.
