Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst with our client located in Oakboro, NC. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with plant managers, engineers, and IT teams to elicit and document business and system requirements
  • Analyze manufacturing workflows, MES/ERP integration points, and automation interfaces
  • Translate operational needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Develop system flow diagrams, DFDs, UML models, and technical documentation for industrial systems
  • Document SOPs, user manuals, and training materials for shop floor and back-office users
  • Map current and future state processes using BPMN or equivalent standards
  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades, integrations, and new deployments
  • Create test cases, traceability matrices, and defect logs aligned with CMM principles
  • Ensure validation of systems in compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Write SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze production, inventory, and quality data
  • Support root cause analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting for operational performance
  • Collaborate with data engineers and BI teams to ensure data integrity and usability
  • Interface with MES, SCADA, PLC, and ERP systems to support digital manufacturing initiatives
  • Assist in system lifecycle planning, upgrades, and maturity assessments using CMM frameworks
  • Support Industry 4.0 initiatives including IoT, predictive maintenance, and smart factory solutions
  • Act as a liaison between operations, engineering, IT, and external vendors
  • Participate in Agile or Waterfall project teams depending on initiative scope
  • Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in business/systems analysis within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Experience acting as project lead on system and application upgrades
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres)
  • Experience with MES, ERP (e.g., SAP), and SCADA systems
  • Strong documentation skills using Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, or SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model (CMM) and system lifecycle frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Desired skills:
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, edge computing, predictive analytics)
  • Knowledge of ISA-95, ISA-88, and other manufacturing standards
  • Certification in CMMI, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar Lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar project tracking tools
  • Tableau or other BI/reporting platform experience
