- The Systems Analyst will:
- Assist in the planning, design, development of new data engineering, analytical and data science applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications.
- Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
- Operate independently on the most complex projects at the highest technical level of all phases of application systems analysis activities.
- Formulate or define system scope and objectives based on user needs.
- Develop or refine procedures to address complex challenges, considering the limitations and capabilities of IT systems, operational timeframes, and the desired outcomes.
- Work with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments.
- Guide and advise less experienced Systems Analysts.
- Design and Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Job Duties:
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- Create and deliver effective presentations to all levels of colleagues and peer groups.
- Document standards and procedures for various analytic platforms.
- Develop test cases and validate test results.
- Coaches and transfers knowledge to less experienced team members.
- Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job.
- Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.
Top Required Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years as systems analyst in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Data Science projects.
- SQL Expertise: A minimum of 7 years of work experience in SQL, with expertise in crafting complex SQL queries.
- Datamart Design: A minimum of 5 years of experience designing DataMart's, with a focus on Dimensional Modeling.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document projects and processes effectively.
- Skilled in developing impactful presentations and effectively communicating with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and implement solutions with minimal guidance.
- Power BI: At least 3 years of experience in the design and development of Power BI dashboards.
What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)?
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
Nice to Have Skills: Power Apps: Experience in Power Apps is also advantageous. Education:
- Minimum of Highschool Diploma or Equivalency.
Proven experience with:
