Responsibilities:

As a Supervisor - Insurance Billing, you will lead a highperforming team dedicated to delivering accurate, timely, and compliant billing services. In this role, you'll help ensure our claims are processed efficiently and in accordance with CMS and payer guidelines-supporting the financial strength that fuels exceptional patient care.

You will partner closely with leadership to improve processes, elevate performance standards, and promote a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.

  • Monitor quality and performance standards; review billing reports; identify improvement opportunities; and help develop methods to enhance billing and collection efficiency.

  • Analyze claim resubmission and adjustment patterns; identify trends or inconsistencies; and recommend updates to workflows, guidelines, or system configurations.

  • Evaluate billing processes, policies, and automation for effectiveness and recommend changes to maximize efficiencies and collection performance.

  • Serve as a resource to internal and external partners, ensuring clear and timely communication.

  • Promote a positive team culture centered on collaboration, service excellence, and achievement of departmental goals.

  • Assist with departmental or PFS-related projects and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Proficient knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement methodologies, including medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes required.

  • Must be familiar with CMS 1500 and UB-04 claim forms, 837 electronic claims processing, and 835 electronic remittance processing.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing to customers, providers and peers.

  • Good organizational, people and management skills and the ability to function effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED

  • One to two years of college level courses OR three years of healthcare business office experience in lieu of college level courses.

  • Two years experience in healthcare billing and/or collections roles required.
