About the Role Meta AI is advancing the next generation of Large Language Models (LLMs), and we're looking for a Sr. Python Engineer to support data acquisition, processing, and analysis that directly powers model training. You'll build Python tooling to parse and download large datasets, write SQL to transform data, and partner closely with researchers and engineers across Meta AI. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, writing highquality code, and working in a fastmoving environment. What You'll Do * Develop Python scripts to efficiently parse, download, and process large webbased datasets * Write SQL queries to clean, transform, and prepare data for downstream use * Build highquality, maintainable, productionready Python code * Troubleshoot and debug issues across data processing workflows * Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices * Ensure performance, reliability, and quality across applications * Produce clear, accurate documentation * Collaborate with crossfunctional partners in engineering and research Required Skills & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field * 6+ years of professional software engineering experience * Strong proficiency in Python * Solid experience writing SQL * Experience with data pipelines or data processing workflows * Comfort working in Linux environments and writing shell scripts * Strong problemsolving skills and high attention to detail * Ability to work independently and collaboratively * Experience contributing to largescale software projects Nice to Have * Master's degree in Computer Science or related field * Experience with web scraping or processing large datasets * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Exposure to DevOps tooling or concepts * Deep experience data analytics or machine learning concepts Key Technologies Python, SQL, Data Pipelines, Linux, Shell Scripting, AWS/Azure/GCP (nice to have), Web Scraping (nice to have) Why This Role? * Direct impact on nextgeneration AI and LLM development * Highly collaborative work with researchers and engineers * 100% remote flexibility * Opportunity to build tools and pipelines that directly advance AI research at Meta ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Employment Type & Eligibility This is a W2 contract role with TEKSYSTEMS.
