Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driving Role in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related incidents or hazards according to company protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the public in a courteous manner, providing assistance as appropriate while upholding security-related standards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and/or other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders during incidents, following established procedures and protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must have a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
