Job Overview:

Operational leader who establishes and communicates a clear, compelling vision that motivates the entire Operations organization and drives alignment across all departments. This role ensures seamless integration between Engineering, QEHS, Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, and Sales by maintaining proactive, transparent communication and fostering a collaborative decision-making environment. The Senior Manager of Operations is responsible for implementing flawless execution programs that exceed customer expectations while sustaining a strong culture centered on safety, quality, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

This position monitors and drives key performance indicators daily - Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, and Material Cost Savings - while establishing the procedures, controls, and cross-functional routines necessary to achieve site and business objectives. The role ensures the Burbank site is maintained, developed, and continuously improved to meet evolving operational and commercial needs, consistently reflecting a professional and high-quality environment for employees and visitors.

The Senior Manager of Operations leads by example, developing talent, strengthening communication channels, and empowering teams to own results. This individual cultivates a culture of continuous improvement, operational rigor, and high performance across all site functions.

Responsibilities:


  • Drive the entire site with a Safety-First culture, ensuring all Haskel associates comply with EH&S policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and drive daily and monthly KPI performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Material Cost Savings, Productivity) and communicate results effectively across teams.

  • Promote and drive all facets of employee engagement, ensuring teams feel connected to site priorities, leadership expectations, and organizational goals.

  • Lead continuous improvement across all departments and partner cross-functionally to support company-wide improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate workflow, assembly, and test methods; make recommendations and hold supporting departments accountable for results via Daily Management.

  • Oversee future staffing and equipment needs to support market demand and evolving customer requirements.

  • Proactively evaluate, develop, budget, and execute short- and long-term business plans related to staffing, equipment upgrades, infrastructure, and operational expansion.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Hydrogen teams to develop accurate, realistic, and actionable SIOP.

  • This role reports to our Global Managing Director with a dotted-line connection to the Engineering Department to ensure operational processes, builds, and documentation remain aligned with engineering design intent and product requirements.

  • Develop, coach, and strengthen talent to cultivate a high-performing team and a culture of operational excellence.

  • Maintain strong, consistent communication with all site departments to ensure alignment, transparency, and integration of priorities and workflows.

  • Ensure cross-functional teams have clear visibility into project timelines, customer expectations, and operational goals, enabling them to execute with confidence and coordination.

  • Represent the Burbank site in global or regional operations discussions, advocating for local needs and driving alignment with broader Ingersoll Rand objectives.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar operations leadership role within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Preferences:


  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in mechanical engineering

  • Combination of experience and education will be considered as equivalent, in lieu of Bachelor's Degree




Travel & Work Arrangement/Requirements:


  • Site-based in Burbank, CA

  • Occasional travel as required.




Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $153,000-$185,000, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
