The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for company's financial planning, forecasting, and delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting financial and operational metrics that assist in insightful, accurate business decision-making. The FP&A team is responsible for overseeing a global financial planning organization that has a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models that enable the team to deliver insightful, value-added analysis across the company.

Marvell is looking for a high energy Senior Financial Analyst to support Central Engineering which serves as the hub of innovation on all the programs and projects created for our customers. This team, working with the business unit engineering teams, delivers world class IP that differentiates Marvell from the competition. This is a high visibility, impactful role where you will partner with the Central Engineering management team to drive accurate financial forecasting, operational efficiency and influence key projects, priorities and decisions with analysis and insight.

What You Can Expect

  • Support the budgeting process and optimizing expense management within the business, driving efficiencies, and ensuring that investments are suitably analyzed, and operational costs appropriately controlled

  • Support the month end accounting close processes and assist in the preparation of financial materials for management and operational reviews

  • Perform accruals and partner with General Accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting

  • Assist in the management of the Central Engineering cost structure and allocation to ensure we meet and achieve all our performance targets and ensure leadership has visibility into risks and opportunities

  • Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts and other ad-hoc financial projects

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of key operational metrics to drive financial performance

  • Assist in the financial synergy target goal monitoring of acquisitions

  • Drive projects with complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an indepth evaluation of variable factors to predict problems and recommend innovative solutions

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting or related fields and 5-10 years of related professional experience. At least 1 year experience in high growth technology company with FP&A, Corporate Finance or Accounting highly preferred.

  • Semiconductor industry experience preferred

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with various organizations at all levels

  • High energy and attention to detail, problem solving approach and ability to deliver results

  • Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to work with incomplete information and deal with varying levels of ambiguity to provide insight from large data sets

  • Skilled at summarizing data for management reporting

  • Experience with Oracle / Hyperion / Smart View a plus

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage day to day priorities and projects

  • Drive process improvements across multiple groups within FP&A and the larger finance organization

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

109,100 - 161,510, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
