Armed Security Officer - Morning Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Elizabeth City, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment. This role involves both armed and driving responsibilities. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while embodying Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor access points and control entry and exit of individuals to help maintain order within the government facility.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as necessary during emergency and/or critical situations.
• Remain alert and observant at all times while carrying out patrol duties, adapting to changing working environments and conditions as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
