THE POSITION

Do you have the skills and experience to serve as a professional staff member, point of contact, and resource for our Central Office Employee Relations Division? The Department of Corrections Field HR Office Region 2 is seeking to fill a Human Resource Analyst 2 position. With us, you will provide professional, analytical Human Resource work at a regional HR office for the Department of Corrections. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of the State Correctional Institution's (SCI) employee/labor relations functions. This includes reviewing completed fact-findings and consulting with supervisors and managers for proper disciplinary consideration, as well as coordinating with the Field Human Resource Officer (FHRO) regarding facility vacancies and hiring needs. Coordinating employee services such as SEAP, EEO, ADA, and Workplace Violence for all facility employees is another important aspect of this position

Our team will also rely on you to utilize local and Department of Corrections, Human Resource Data to identify areas for improvement within the facility's operations related to supervisory and management functions. You will also serve as the on-site HR point of contact in the absence of the FHRO.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office at SCI Greene. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
