We are looking for a Quality Engineering Intern for Summer 2026! Please note this position is fully in-person in Buffalo, NY and housing is not provided.
Job Summary Our Quality Engineering Intern will be able to learn more about qualities functional relationship with operations within a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to have a career in operations, quality and has an interest in manufacturing. You will focus on becoming familiar with ISO 13485 and FDA requirements that must be met for NMT's manufactured medical devices. As a part of the quality and regulatory team, you will analyze our current records while recognizing possible gaps that enter risk into our Quality Management system. Essential Job Functions 1. Develop and execute remediation plans for identified gaps based on QMS analysis 2. Collaborate with team members in production, quality and regulatory to build robust documentation to support audit readiness and process improvements 3. Deploy a plan for remediation of electronic backups of quality documents 4. Collaborate with QA staff to improve the calibration system for equipment Requirements * Student currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in a related engineering, science, or life science field * Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in manufacturing/operations * Willingness to learn about manufacturing processes and quality assurance through daily activities. * Ability to work independently * Strong verbal and written communication * Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve by accepting candid feedback Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Excellent project management skills * Strong problem solving skills to make informed decisions * Self-motivated * Organized and detail oriented * Good math skills * Experience with Microsoft Office & Oracle preferred Other Information "Participate in the reduction of risk and injury in the workplace by completing required job safety training, identifying workplace risks. Compliance to Safety Standards and Policy: Immediately informing manager, supervisor, and/or Team Leader of unsafe conditions, practices, incidents, and injuries."
