The position of Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for providing operational and administrative support for the banks' lending function. This person must be detail-oriented and be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Must possess good technical ability and be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel applications along with establishing proficiency with the bank's core system and loan documentation platform. This person must have a strong sense of urgency with regard to day-to-day responsibilities, given or impromptu tasks arising out of internal or external service issues or concerns. They must be able to retain information and make satisfactory steps in growing and taking ownership of their position in the department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Demonstrates knowledge of bank regulations pertinent to lending following all processes and procedures with the loan policies in place. * Processes and onboard all new, renewed, modified and extended loans in the bank's core operating systems. * Prepare new loan files or assists with filing documents in existing loan files. * Processes and posts sold and purchased participation and in-house loan payments as received. * Provides a high level of customer service when responding to inquiries both internal and external, provides necessary resolution as appropriate. * Processes paid out loan files and accurately deliver all completed paperwork to the appropriate point of contact. * Monitors insurance and collateral tracking for all related files to perfect all lien positions for the bank. * Review and maintain new and existing files to ensure a perfected lien is accurately placed; including but not limited to UCC filings with the Secretary of State, or DMV filings. * Assists with general ledger transactions and balancing with knowledge of credit and debit entries. * Assists in the daily scanning of any loan related documents and properly updates and tracking items that are required per loan agreements. * Other duties and/or projects as assigned. * Carefully Reviews and processes any maintenance requests in our system platforms with proper approvals. * Generates Credit Reports as requested while maintaining confidentiality. * Assist Customers in any External or Internal Transfer of Funds while keeping the Bank and Customers Safe, Sound and Secure. * Follows policies and procedures accurately and timely supporting the Banks goals, values, vision and mission. * Responds to inquiries or refers inquiries to the appropriate department or person and exhibiting the necessary follow-through with customers and/or staff involved. Qualifications: * High School degree or GED required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Working knowledge of PC (MS Windows and Office products including Word, Excel, etc.) * Self-motivated, confident, and ability to multitask effectively * Ability to adjust to processes and procedures and rules and regulations changes in the banking industry or internal necessities to perfect roles within the department. | |
