SUMMARY

The Administrator II - Systems is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of HSE systems and other Westlake Web & Enterprise Applications. This role involves planning, coordinating, and assisting in the management of Westlake's Cority, Greenstone, and other Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS/HSE) software systems. Key responsibilities include configuring and supporting HSE platforms, managing software enhancements and system upgrades, creating custom reports, and training new system users.

The Administrator II - Systems will collaborate with subject matter experts, Westlake's support consultants, and system administrators to enhance system reliability, understand configurations and customizations, and document changes. This role oversees all procedures related to identifying, prioritizing, and resolving IT problems, including monitoring, tracking, and coordinating IT response efforts. Additionally, the Administrator-Systems will provide hands-on support to resolve operational issues in Cority and other HSE applications while executing and administering operational HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.

A critical aspect of this role is to help support the implementation of change management methodologies to facilitate the adoption of new systems and processes. The Administrator II - Systems will help communicate, and use their analytical, and problem-solving skills to align organizational directives with business goals effectively.

The Administrator II - Systems will also identify, and be a technical team member on projects aimed at improving Westlake Web & Enterprise Applications. To succeed in this role, the individual should possess a solid understanding of the Environmental, Health, and Safety domain and its IT applications, along with the ability to create a positive user experience. An exceptional Administrator II - Systems will ensure seamless integration and promote efficient online collaboration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide support in the configuration, implementation, management, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of EHS and Manufacturing systems such as Cority, Greenstone, 3E, Sphera ARA, and similar applications.
  • Assist with executing system changes, integrating updates, and documenting technical requirements to support project delivery.
  • Serve as a supporting system administrator for EHS applications and assigned technologies, ensuring consistent and reliable system performance.
  • Respond to and resolve IT incidents, service requests, user access needs, and system performance issues in a timely and customer-focused manner.
  • Analyze and interpret user and business requirements to translate them into effective system or operational solutions.
  • Support change control processes and participate in testing activities for enhancements and production modifications in accordance with SDLC guidelines.
  • Assist with quality control and assurance for system changes, releases, and upgrades.
  • Ensure system environments remain synchronized and functioning properly across development, test, and production layers.
  • Research and recommend tools, technologies, standards, and services to support application sustainability and improvement efforts.
  • Provide functional and technical support to end users for EHS systems, including troubleshooting, training, and guidance.
  • Manage user security roles, permissions, and location scopes in alignment with governance and compliance requirements.
  • Support the rollout and implementation of new modules, features, or integrations.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning for new and ongoing EHS system initiatives.
  • Assist with maintaining and troubleshooting data integrations with systems like Workday and Active Directory.
  • Help coordinate recurring user meetings, including preparing updates, reviewing system changes, and addressing questions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Actively support continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying enhancement opportunities, contributing ideas, and participating in cross-functional projects.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Degree or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Business, or related EHS management system discipline. Bachelor's degree in IT related field of study preferred.
  • At least 2 to 5 years' experience as a Cority administrator which includes configuration and the development of business rules.
  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience working with various compliance or work management systems experience (i.e., system administration, management, or development)
  • Experience with compliance reporting and data associated with regulations
  • EHS business acumen within chemical industry is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the following is highly desirable: Audit, Inspections, Action Items, Chemical, Metrics, Waste modules, MOC, ESG
  • At least two (2) years' experience managing data lakes, SQL queries, PowerShell, APIs, Snowflake and the development of PowerBI reports
  • Technical writing experience
  • Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
