Description

The Sales Manager - Building Products plays a key role in developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive profitable growth for Liberty Plastics. This position is responsible for leading all sales activities for the Building Products segment, including revenue generation, market development, and customer relationship management.

You will provide strategic direction, leadership, and hands-on sales execution-managing both internal sales and customer service teams as well as independent sales representatives-to achieve business goals and strengthen Liberty Plastics' market position.

Liberty Plastics is an industry leader in the manufacturing of Wave-Core corrugated plastic products serving a wide range of industries and customers.

This full-time position reports directly to the General Manager of Liberty Plastics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, execute, and continuously refine the Building Products sales strategy in alignment with company objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities, analyze market trends, and proactively address potential risks.
  • Drive revenue growth through direct engagement with key accounts and the development of new markets and customers.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and profit and loss performance for the Building Products segment.
  • Establish and manage performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure accountability and success.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach sales and customer service team members-fostering collaboration, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners to ensure high levels of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to align production capabilities with customer and market needs.
  • Identify and pursue new product opportunities, innovative applications, and strategic partnerships that support business growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement and efficiency in sales processes, customer service, and market responsiveness.
  • Present performance updates, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Represent Liberty Plastics at key customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience, including 5+ years in a management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success managing sales teams and achieving measurable growth targets.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and building materials industries.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of balancing strategy and hands on execution.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or organizational change initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution and follow-through.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $134,000 - $167,000 per year plus eligibility in annual bonus program. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses or deferred compensation options.
