Staff Quality Engineer - Elevate Aerospace Innovation!

Hours & Pay

Pay Rate: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-time, on-site position

What You'll Do



  • Conduct quality assurance activities in an AS9100-certified environment.
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electromechanical hardware, textiles, and composites.
  • Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, program specifications, and acceptance tests.
  • Contribute to Material Review Board (MRB) efforts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards.
  • Partner with suppliers to manage non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Interface with customer quality assurance representatives to maintain compliance and satisfaction.
  • Support the Quality Management System (QMS), including AS9100 and CMMI processes, and perform audits.
  • Review and assist in the development of procedures, work instructions, and quality plans.
  • Maintain and manage calibrated equipment programs.
  • Support engineering change reviews and occasional supplier source inspections (less than 10% travel).

What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related technical field).
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven professional able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.


Preferred Skills:



  • Welding experience with AMS specifications.
  • Internal auditor certification.
  • Certified IPC-A-610/620 Inspector.
  • Experience in ISO9000/AS9100 environments and DOD electromechanical products.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI/ASME Y14.5.
