Vaqua Blast Operator

ESSENTIAL TASKS:



  • Perform all required operations to vaqua blast materials following established procedures. Vaqua blast materials as required
  • Work from verbal and written instructions from departmental supervisor as to work to be performed and sequence of mill order travelers to be cleaned.
  • Check metal to be blasted to ensure heat number, alloy and size on mill order traveler and tag are the same.
  • Visually check material to determine proper cleaning
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Perform a variety of non-destructive in-process inspections duties on following established methods and procedures
  • Maintain all required records and reports.
  • Check material for compliance with dimensional specifications



NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS:



  • Use crane when loading and unloading metal for Vaqua blasting. Move all completed material to next operations.
  • Perform other departmental duties as required or directed

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • 3 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use ordinary arithmetic, including decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to utilize schedules, charts, and tables.
