We create possibilities that move life and commerce forward

Welcome to Manhattan. Every day, our supply chain commerce technology connects two billion people to 20 billion consumer choices. In the warehouse, on the road and in the store, we make what was once impossible, possible. If you want to tackle complex problems and redefine markets, you've come to the right place.

Overview

Manhattan's Educational Services Organization (ESO) is responsible for training our clients, partners, and employees on our supply chain software solutions. We're looking for a Learning Content Developer who combines instructional design and technical writing expertise to create clear, engaging, and high-impact learning experiences.

This role requires someone who is curious, flexible, and eager to embrace change-using AI tools thoughtfully to improve efficiency, consistency, and creativity while maintaining the human touch that makes learning meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Create multimedia learning assets-videos, simulations, assessments, and reference materials-using both traditional and AI-assisted tools.
  • Design, write, and edit learning materials including eLearning modules, instructor-led courses, user manuals, and video scripts.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into concise, easy-to-understand language for diverse audiences.
  • Apply adult learning principles, UX writing, and plain language standards to ensure clarity and engagement.
  • Evaluate and update training materials to stay aligned with product releases and evolving learner needs.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, structure, and formatting across all materials.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Partner with product managers, consultants, R&D, and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.
  • Coordinate review cycles, incorporate feedback, and manage deliverables through completion.
  • Balance multiple priorities and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a team culture that values learning agility, collaboration, and innovation

AI & Efficiency

  • Use AI tools to accelerate content creation and enhance quality-for example, drafting outlines, generating visuals, refining scripts, and creating accessibility features.
  • Evaluate opportunities to integrate AI responsibly and ethically without compromising instructional integrity.
  • Maintain human oversight in all AI-assisted materials to ensure accuracy, creativity, and alignment with brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communication, Education, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, technical writing, or blended content development.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content structuring skills for instructional and technical materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly.
  • Experience developing both eLearning and instructor-led training.
  • Experience with AI-assisted content creation tools preferred.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate, or Lectora; and graphics/video editing software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite core applications, including creating professional documents in Word (templates, formatting, mail merge) and designing compelling presentations in PowerPoint (animations, custom templates, multimedia).
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (Saba, Workday Learning, or similar).
  • Proven ability to manage timelines and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Up to 20% travel.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a storyteller and problem-solver who brings structure, creativity, and technical precision to every project. They are comfortable flexing with change, using new tools (including AI) to work smarter, and helping shape the next generation of learning at Manhattan.
