UC San Diego Department of Dermatology is a dynamic and growing academic department founded in 2015 within the School of Medicine bringing together a team of 70+ core and voluntary faculty specializing in Adult and Pediatric & Adolescent Dermatology. The Assistant Department Business Officer (ADBO) is a senior administrative leader responsible for ensuring the effective financial, research, operational, and personnel management of the Department of Dermatology. This role reports directly to the Department Administrative Vice Chair and works in close collaboration with the Department Chair to support and advance the department's academic, clinical, research, and educational missions.Responsibilities also include supervising the administrative services of a large academic department within a school OR college OR non-academic department (program). Typically reports to a manager. Administrative services include all or some of the following functions: IT, facilities, student services, contracts and grants, budgetary financial management and / or human resources. Supervises support and / or professional staff. The ADBO provides strategic and operational leadership across key areas. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 
 Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $88,000 - $161,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $42.15 - $77.39 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.
