The Role: As AMD grows, growing our leadership in systems engineering expertise is essential for all the new products in the AMD pipeline. Want to translate business goals into cutting-edge product and system features that meet those requirements? Make a significant impact in AMD's Client business and the direction of the PC industry through this new, high-visibility role! The leader of the Advanced Forward Deployment and System Engineering team at AMD's Datacenter GPU (DC GPU) advises our strategy, partnerships, engineering development teams, and global system development, system solutions, and customer engineering teams to deliver new and innovative system features to AMD product and systems. Lead forward looking, leadership capabilities into our products, software, firmware, ecosystem, and ultimately, shipping customer desktop, laptop, and workstation systems. Drive cohesive strategy and plans, hire teams, and deliver innovation in the area of computer vision-based capabilities and user features. The Person: Leading this effort will require an unusual mix of technical breadth and depth, problem solving, management skills, and soft skills. It's not for the overly introverted. Effective with communication and building respect while communicating status to executive level audience. An ambitious engineering leader with a proven track record in visualization technologies appreciate Blend technical knowledge of PC system operation and optimized engineering processes with cross-company teamwork, influence, mentorship and development of technical leaders.
