The Position Job TitleSpend Life Wisely Ambassador Job Description

Summary

The Spend Life Wisely (SLW) Market Ambassador is responsible for ensuring each location in the Denton region executes and maintains each SLW element properly, coordinates and supports SLW events, generates new business and community outreach through varies SLW activities and education, supports SLW marketing needs for their locations, creates and logs Community Reinvestment Act credit events, and continues ongoing stakeholder training and education on SLW.

Role will be a liaison between their locations and marketing, facilities, and SLW Pillar Directors as it relates to SLW needs. They will have direct support from SLW Pillar Directors.

Role will also support Chairman's Club Director in planning, organizing, and attending activities and events for the Chairman's Club account holders; with emphasis on attracting more customers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Demonstrates and promotes high ethical standards and behaviors in accordance with the values of First United: knowing, living, and doing what's right.
  • Deliver FUB brand promise of Spend Life Wisely
  • Leadership of key programs and initiatives regarding customer experience within the SLW Lobby
  • Ensure each of their locations has consistent and effective implementation of the SLW brand, lobby elements, and established corporate standards
  • Increases business and lobby traffic
  • Inspires, educates, empowers all stakeholders
  • Work with Pillar Directors to deliver SLW educational elements
  • Create and support Community Reinvestment Act opportunities
  • Works with community nonprofit organizations on various projects as needed
  • Documents business development calls and referrals in Synapsys on a weekly basis
  • Represent the bank in various civic and community functions in order to build the bank brand, enhance the bank's image and develop new business

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and creative
  • Possess the ability and willingness to prioritize, plan schedule and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives under minimal supervision

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor
  • Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures
  • Dresses professionally
  • Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, marketing or related field preferred
  • Two to three years work experience in a related field
  • Banking or financial industry experience preferred
  • Sales or marketing experience preferred
  • Travel and/or Event coordinating experience is a plus

Technical/Functional Competencies

  • Demonstrates a high level of integrity and ethics
  • Basic understanding of financial institution policies and procedures
  • Exceptional communication, sales, and public relations skills
  • Great customer service skills
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision making skills
