Production Operator Filler, Huron OH

Starting pay: $19.64 plus a $1.00 shift differential

A tiered pay progression system is used for this position until reaching the maximum per the policy.

Shift: Evening 3:00pm - 1:00am Monday - Thursday

As a Production Operator Filler, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

• Work in a PSM (Process Safety Management) building which includes solvents and solvent-borne materials.
• Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.
• Set up, monitor, troubleshoot and interact with filling equipment as required.
• Perform quality inspections and checks, (i.e. fill weights, label, coding checks, etc.).
• Communicate issues in the department or with equipment to management or maintenance personnel.
• Lift cases or pails of product as needed onto filling line conveyors.
• Drive powered industrial truck (PIT) to supply or remove materials or finished products.
• Keep work areas clean and at the expected housekeeping standard.
• Maintain and/or assist with production line efficiency improvements.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and operating procedures in English.
• Ability to wear PPE includes a hard hat, FR uniform, steel or composite toe safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, or other protective gear deemed as necessary.
• Must be able to work in an environment with expected temperature variation
• Must be able to climb or ascend stairs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time,
• Must be able to bend, reach and lift, as job tasks often include working with transfer hoses, drums, or other materials used throughout or during the filling process.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate and handle materials using a powered industrial truck (PIT).
• Basic computer skills for interacting with software programs (i.e. SAP, Vorne, etc.).
• Ability to complete and satisfactorily demonstrate comprehension of safety training.
