Peraton is seeking a Data Analytics & Trend Monitoring Advisor. In this role you will lead the analysis of operational, technical, and business data to identify trends, performance drivers, and emerging risks that inform FAA decision-making. You will collaborate with engineering, program management, and mission operations teams to deliver actionable insights that improve safety, efficiency, and reliability across the NAS. This role is ideal for a strategic data leader who combines deep analytical expertise with an understanding of aviation operations, federal systems, and performance management.

Responsibilities

    Lead analytical initiatives that drive strategic decision-making for FAA programs and modernization efforts under BNATCS.

  • Develop and execute data-driven strategies to identify performance trends, risk indicators, and improvement opportunities across air traffic control and NAS operations.

  • Partner with FAA stakeholders to understand operational data needs and translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.

  • Design and oversee dashboards, reports, and predictive models to monitor system performance and emerging issues.

  • Synthesize large volumes of technical and operational data into executive-level summaries and visualizations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including program management, systems engineering, and IT-to align analytics with mission and technical priorities.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement, cost efficiency, and enhanced service delivery through data insights.

  • Support FAA decision-making through trend analyses, forecasting, and what-if modeling.

  • Ensure data governance, integrity, and compliance with FAA and federal data standards.

  • Track and report project status, metrics, and analytical results to both FAA and Peraton leadership.

  • Engage with senior FAA officials to present findings, influence strategic direction, and guide resource prioritization.

  • May lead or contribute to pre-sales and proposal development by providing data-backed insights into program performance or opportunities.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA
  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, performance measurement, or trend analysis, ideally supporting federal programs.

  • Proven ability to interpret complex data sets and translate analytical findings into business or operational recommendations.

  • Strong proficiency in analytical and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, SQL).

  • Experience with aviation, air traffic management, or large-scale transportation systems is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills - capable of briefing technical and non-technical audiences, including senior government stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and federal data policies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage deliverables, and drive measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting the FAA or other Department of Transportation programs.

  • Familiarity with system performance monitoring, predictive maintenance analytics, or operational forecasting.

  • Background in AI/ML model development for trend prediction or anomaly detection.

  • PMP or DA credential preferred.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
