Baptist Health is looking for a Patient Safety Officer to join their team in Elizabethtown, KY

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He/she may perform other duties,both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time totime. Coordinates and provides direct clinical support for the patient safety and the risk managementprogram. Manages Patient Safety Evaluation System (PSES) activities, including the management ofPatient Safety Work Product (PSWP). Also provides support to the Patient Safety-Risk ManagementDepartment overall strategies and operations. Works with Clinical Providers and Leadership to improveprocesses and reduce frequency and severity of undesirable events or trends in patient care or facility
management. The Patient Safety Officer participates in pro-active risk assessments based on relevantliterature. Works with the Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management to provide oversight;recommends preventative and/or remedial solutions that will improve safety, reduce hazards, prevent loss,transfer risks, and minimize the chance of harm to patients, visitors, staff, and the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required inNursing or clinically relatedHealthcare Field.

• Five years' experience

• CPHRM (Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager) preferred.
