 Key Accountabilities The Director of Warehouse is accountable for overseeing the overall warehouse operations. This role ensures efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, safe working conditions, cost-effective operations, and alignment with the company's Supply Chain goals. This role will provide leadership to warehouse staff, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in productivity, service, and safety. Responsibilities  
 
   
  - Develop and execute the strategic plan for warehouse operations to support company growth and customer satisfaction.
 
   
  
   
  - Manage, mentor, and develop warehouse managers and supervisors.
 - Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
 - Lead workforce planning, including hiring, training, and performance management.
 - Oversee implementation and optimization of warehouse management systems (WMS).
 - Coordinate with IT team to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.
 - Ensure accurate inventory management and reconciliation.
 - Lead safety programs and audits.
 - Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
 - Resolve escalated issues related to order accuracy, delivery, or inventory discrepancies.
 - Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
 
   
  
   
  - Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping.
 - Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, FDA).
 - Implement and monitor KPI's related to accuracy, efficiency, safety, cost control, and on-time delivery.
 - Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and material handling systems for maximum efficiency and cost savings.
 - Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, and Operations teams deliver high quality service.
 - Provide transportation and warehousing as necessary for movement of goods, continually striving to improve both service and cost.
 - Provide for product availability to support company sales, while managing inventory levels to a responsible level to maintain service and minimizing excess working capital and loss due to aging or damage.
 - Manage costs and provide for proper reporting as well as analysis to support cost evaluations and improvement opportunities.
 - Track performance against budget, provide root cause analysis and results to senior management
 - Track and provide root cause analysis on KPIs. Develop KPI goals or targets as appropriate; provide leadership in meeting targets such as inventory and fill rates goals
 - Primary person responsible for performing or coordinating alternative scenarios or gap analysis for new business or P&L's
 
   
  
 Skills, Experience & Qualifications  
 
   
  - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
 - 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or supply chain management. 
 - Communication and presentation experience with Senior Leadership team and at all levels of the organization. 
 - Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills. 
 - Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards. 
 - Ability to manage multiple warehouse and diverse work team. 
 - Proven record of process improvement and change management.
 - Strategic planning experience, setting and meeting annual goals.
 - Experience in both corporate and plant environments in a food or consumer goods company.
 - Ability to manage several projects at once meeting milestones and deliverables.
 - Deep knowledge of supply chain, cost drivers, and factors that influence production and demand.
