 Valiant is looking for an Officer Senior Trainer (OST) to join our team. This role supports the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) and is the principal Mission Command training advisor to assigned ARNG commanders. OSTs develop and maintain positive mentor and coach relationship with battalion, brigade, and division commander and staff while assisting them in achieving their Mission Command proficiency aimpoints.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 
  
 - Main point of contact to obtain, review and process training requests IAW the Training Unit Commander's intent MCTPS scope of work, and ARNG training guidance.  
 - Serves as a subject matter expert on doctrine, techniques, and procedures in the integration of all Warfighting Functions throughout the Operations Process and Command Post operations.  
 - Advises, recommends, assists, coordinates, facilitates and supports unit commanders in the development, execution, and synchronization of unit mission command training in the live, virtual, constructive, and gaming domains.  
 - Serves as the project manager for designated small, medium, and large event training and exercises incorporating the MCTSP Joint Event Life Cycle process.  
 - Mentors, coaches, and teaches training management to unit commanders and staffs in the development of long-range training strategies.   
 - As directed, conducts analysis and research with government customers, government mission command staff and Field Service Contractors for training and interoperability improvements. 
 - Develops and coordinates collection plans in support of informal and formal After Action Reviews. 
 - Reports directly to the MTC Site Manager.  
 - Other duties as assigned.
 
  
 
   
  - Previous Battalion level or higher echelon command experience; Brigade or Division level and primary staff experience preferred.  
 -  8+ years' of related experience conducting Army and Joint training.  
 - 2+ years' experience with exercise planning using the JELC process. 
 - Former FA57 qualified or have demonstrated experience in planning and employment of Army simulations.  
 - Full understanding of the Army's suite of mission command information systems.  
 
   
  
 
 
 
 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  
 
 
   
  - BS/BA degree, subject immaterial, andhavecompleted CGSC/ILE(MEL 4) military education. 
 - Master's degree and Senior Service College preferred.  
 
   
  
 
 
 
 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:  Ability obtain andmaintaina Secret security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.  Active Secret preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS:   
 
 
   
  - Work Week: Monday-Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)  
 - Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)  
 - Overtime: As Required

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  
 
 
   
  - Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
 - Occasionally outdoors. 
 - Occasional exposure to natural conditions existing at different locationsaround the US.
