Another Source's client, Florida State University (FSU), is recruiting a Director for the Center for Global Engagement to join their team on campus in Tallahassee, FL.

About the Opportunity

Florida State University (FSU) is seeking a Director for the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) to lead and advance the university's internationalization strategy. The Director provides strategic planning, leadership, and oversight of key areas supporting global learning-including international student and scholar services, global exchange programs, the Global Citizenship Certificate, and intercultural programming for the entire campus community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to shape FSU's global presence, strengthen international partnerships, and foster an inclusive, globally minded campus culture.

Key Responsibilities

    Provide strategic leadership across CGE divisions, including International Student & Scholar Services, Global Exchanges, the Global Citizenship Certificate, Intercultural and Special Programs, Communications, and Administration.
  • Develop data-informed strategies, budgets, and policies that support FSU's internationalization goals.
  • Increase visibility of the CGE and its programs through marketing, outreach, and campus engagement.
  • Serve as a key resource to departments and administrators regarding international initiatives and immigration compliance.
  • Establish and sustain international partnerships aligned with FSU's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Provost for International Initiatives and co-chair the Visiting Scholar Committee.
  • Oversee multiple budgets, auxiliary accounts, and foundation funds to support CGE operations and programming.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and manage annual budget requests.
  • Represent CGE on university committees such as Vision 2030, International Graduate Recruitment, and the International Advisory Committee.
  • Oversee International Education Month and other campus-wide events celebrating global engagement.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and six years of experience, or Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience.
  • Leadership experience in an international center supporting student and scholar services, exchange programs, and intercultural initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse teams, complex budgets, and multiple revenue sources.
  • Demonstrated success developing and maintaining international partnerships.
  • Experience serving on university-wide committees related to strategic planning, accreditation, or new initiatives.
  • Understanding of federal immigration regulations and state statutes affecting international students and scholars.
  • Experience living, studying, or working abroad.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong fiscal management and fundraising skills.
  • Capacity for strategic thinking and relationship-building across cultures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in International Education, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
