 General Purpose: Operates Pneumatic Scale Filler, Silgan Capper, Video Jet Coder and performs all related functions. Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
  
 - Adjusts Filling machine with proper fill weight for product.
 - Reports quality and operational issues to management as they occur and submits work orders.
 - Checks accuracy of container coding for product being filled.
 - Completes all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
 - Monitors chart recorders and makes adjustments when necessary.
 - Performs metal detector verification tests.
 - Ensures fill detection equipment is functioning prior to startup and tests regularly during a production run.
 - Assists Check Weight Operator to supply capper.
 - Isolates product that deviates from standards and reports to management.
 - Monitors Rinser temperature, spray pattern, and clears jams.
 - Follows filed operating process at all times.
 - Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.
 - Obtains all necessary samples of product in a timely manner.
 - Performs CIP/COP sanitizing utilizing procedures and methods.
 - Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
 - Examines final package for any defects, i.e. glass, cap, code, etc.
 - Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
 - Performs items on Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
 - Maintain sanitary equipment conditions during production.
 - Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
 - Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.
 - Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
 
  
 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
 
  
 - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
 - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
 - Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. 
 
  
 
 
Shift Schedule - Monday - Friday 12:30 pm - 8:30 pm STARTING RATE - $18.50/HOUR  RATE INCREASE TO $22.97 @ 90 DAYS 
  
  
 - High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
 - Effectively Communicate - Speech / Writing
 - Basic computer skills
 - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
 - Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
 - Perform necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
 - Knowledge with machines, tools, equipment and Lock Out/Tag Out.
