Short Term Temporary position - This is a one time, 13-week assignment.

• Pay commensurate with that of a travel assignment

Full time (36 hours per week)

NIGHT Shift (7:00pm - 7:00am)

Incumbents are eligible to apply for regular employment with a MaineHealth Entity following completion of assignment if position matching skill sets is available.

To be eligible for consideration

• Must be separated from a MaineHealth facility for greater than 6 months.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist - Temporary role performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients to aid physicians/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, under supervision of the physician/advanced practice practitioner.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate from AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care, RRT, or CRRT required. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS, PALS and NPR certification required or must obtain within one year of start date or according to department guidelines.
3. Experience: One year of acute care experience preferred.
