Risk Management Liaison

Position Overview

The Risk Management Liaison is an entry-level role within the Legal department, designed for a motivated professional with a background in Human Resources, Insurance, Risk Management, and/or Property Management.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring proper and timely responses to safety, property damage, general liability and employee-related incidents. This person will receive and review all reports of loss, legal holds, demand letters, claims for damages, actual damage or liability, and ensure the proper follow-up is performed. This will entail liaison work with rental community Property Managers, community maintenance staff, Regional Property Managers, Property Vice Presidents and members of our Risk Management Department, which shall allow our operations team to focus more on the operation of our properties. Your work will be supervised by our General Counsel.

This person will file and monitor all insurance claims and work hand in hand with our counsel to best protect Hillpointe and our Investors.

The position will be full-time and based in our Corporate Office in Winter Park, with no remote work opportunity.

Key Responsibilities



  • Receive, track, and process internal reporting documents related to safety, property damage, moisture/water intrusion events, and public safety concerns.
  • Supervise, monitor and track reported events from inception through to close-out.
  • Dispatch and assign tasks to property management and maintenance personnel as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all incidents/events, ensuring thorough follow-up and resolution.
  • Keep the organization's OSHA 300 log current and updated in real time.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to manage confidential information for worker compensation cases.
  • Provide quarterly analytical updates and reporting to Risk Management and Property Management using LinqApp and Safety Culture platforms.
  • Support proactive risk identification, response, and communication to minimize liability and safety hazards.
  • Assist with training, compliance tracking, and other risk management projects as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Certification: OSHA 10 certification (must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment, if not already certified).
  • Experience:

    • Experience in Human Resources, Risk Management, or Property Management required.
    • Combination of all three preferred.


  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to proactively anticipate risks and respond quickly to emerging situations.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through with documentation and reporting.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Experience or ability to quickly learn apps including UKG, LinqApp, and Safety Culture is helpful.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
